I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at American Express (Tampa, FL) in Dec 2015
Interview
I applied online....took an online assessment. A few days later received an email to do an online one-way video interview. This was an awkward experience as there was no one to look at when responding to the behavioral questions that were on the screen. Once this was submitted I received a call from a recruiter wanting to set up a phone interview. The phone interview was about 45-60 minutes in length, part of this interview was a description of the job, base salary and training requirements. More behavioral questions were asked during the phone interview...after this conversation the recruiter wanted to go to the next step which was another video interview (two-way video cam) with the hiring manager. The third interview was also about 45 minutes in length with more behavioral questions asked. At the end of the interview I was told that I would be notified within two days whether I was hired or not. The whole process took about two weeks-with coordinating dates and times for the interviews.

Question 1
Unfortunately, I do not remember all of the questions that were asked as there were many. The most important thing to remember is that you will be given a scenario and asked to tell about your experience...the STAR technique....situation or task, what was the action you took and what was the result....think of it as a conversation and relax! The more natural and genuine you are, the better you will do!
Super interactive including a recorded interview, after passing the hirevue recorded interview I had a virtual face to face and was offered a job at the end of the interview.

Interview
Process was long poor communication on scheduling led me to have a difficult time requesting time off at my then current job. Initial was a phone screening, then a group interview prep and finally a group interview.

Interview
Applied online on American Express Careers section I received a email saying that I was selected for a phone interview I set up phone interview for 3 days later the phone interview was thorough she asked a lot of questions Some were basic about my application and some STAR Format we spoke for about an hour and she informed me that she was moving me forward in the process and that the next step would be a Meet and Greet this was a panel type interview It was all virtual as this is a home based position but the meet and greet was me 5 other candidates and 4 interviewers The first part was a introduction every one takes turns introducing yourself and a quick intro about your experience after you go to a private interview with one of the interviewers there they will ask a ton of questions STAR format I don’t remember the questions and then we roll played this went well then I was sent back to the group call and was split with two other candidates to chat about the company and ask any questions we may have after that we were all told that we would hear something back within three days. About a week or so later I received a email saying that I was selected as a finalist for the position and I would be contacted in a few days to go over a few things I didn’t hear from him until 3 weeks after that email and he made an offer and sent all the info about schedule and equipment. It was tough but I enjoyed the process they only choose the best.
