Met with too many folks for an EA position. Once met with the VP, he was terrible. Told me he doesn’t have time to hold my hand but wants me to text him at 1am when his flight arrives to make sure he made it… excuse me?
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
How do you know I can work from anywhere and not be lying to you which you can get in trouble for…
The interview process was smooth and swift. It's just the fact that I got ghosted. They said they would notify me in a week if I got a second interview, and the following week, they said they hoped to have someone picked. It's been four weeks, and I have heard nothing. I even emailed them and still didn't receive a response.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at American Express (New York, NY) in Sept 2025
Interview
I only made it through the initial phone screening. I was very excited since AMEX is known for great work life balance. My interviewer was a former EA who gleamed about flexibility within the company and the HR Team.

Question 1
What does your daily work day look like in your current role?
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at American Express in July 2025
Interview
Intro call - 30 minutes
Initial Interview w/ hiring manager - 30 minutes (Same week)
Final Interview - 30 minutes (Week later)
Final Decision (over a week later)
Emailed automatic rejection after not a peep for over a week after final interview. Such a crappy and impersonal experience
