Applying online was easy, had to complete online testing within a week of completing the application to progress forward. Had a phone screen within a week or so of the intake closing and got notified shortly after that I was invited to the Assessment Centre in Mackay. Really helpful session and staff were knowledgeable about the company, the operations, the locations and what to expect.
Assessment centre was early August in Mackay and consisted of a panel interview in a group setting, a short presentation with safety moment, a team exercise and small group 1-on-1 Q&A session. Was advised we'd know if we were progressing further in 3-4 weeks.
That's where all communications stopped.
I sent coal resourcing an email in October asking for an update and received a response a few days later advising that no decision had been made.
Travelled 950km to make it to the one day session and the best BMA could do was an automated response at 8am on CHRISTMAS MORNING advising me that I'd been unsuccessful.
