I applied through a staffing agency. I interviewed at Bain & Company in Dec 2025
Interview
Open about the culture and job scope, they were looking for an experienced hire and expressed that my profile would not be the most preferred due to lack of experience in this field. Did the HR interview then did not progress past the assessment.
Three half hour phone interviews. First with recruiting, then with two managers in the department. Scheduling was very easy and quick. None of the interviews went long or felt repetitive of each other.
I applied online. The process took 6 days. I interviewed at Bain & Company (Boston, MA) in July 2022
Interview
A recruiter reached out within a week of my application submission and set up a screening call. It was one of the worst screening calls I have ever been on. The recruiter was late and complained about her dog needing to go outside. She didn’t seem organized at all, kept asking me the same three questions, and was almost arguing with me on my responses. I wasn’t able to express any of my actual skills or gain insight into what the role was. And she wouldn’t tell me the budget/salary range until I gave my range. Ive never encountered this before. Though I have heard excellent experiences from others about Bain, this call really turned me off from continuing this process.
