Very informal. I suppose it will differ by site. Mostly concerned availability and any past research experience. I found my interviewer to be very easy going and enjoyed the process.

I called to a store and asked if they needed help. They asked me to come there. So, same day I was there.The store manager asked if I was willing to learn stuff and work part time. I was shown the store, registers, and the storage. Same day they put me behind a register so I could try to operate it. It took me awhile because I was serving real costumers, what got me nervous a bit.

I applied online. Got an interview within 2-3 weeks. Got hired the next 2 days. It was a very laid back interview and more conversation like. The manager looked at my resume and asked me about my customer service experience.
