I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Capital One (Richmond, VA) in June 2010
Interview
This was just the phone screening. It lasted 12 minutes. It went over my resume and why I wanted to join Capital One - and why I wanted to leave my current employer. I was invited to an upcoming "powerday" in a few weeks. That is the actual face-to-face interview.
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Capital One (Richmond, VA) in Mar 2026
Interview
Phone interview with recruiter within the week after applying. Moved on to the "Power Day" round with three interviews back-to-back. Two job fit with more technical questions. One behavioral with more scenario type questions. Decision took about a week and a half after that.
On line assessment. Phone interview. Case study. Power Day. Long and tedious. Interviewer showed no interest. Think it was 3 interviews. Tell me about yourself. How did you hear about this position. Strength and weaknesses.
I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Capital One (Tysons Corner, VA) in Nov 2025
Interview
Three video interviews that could have been one quick panel interview. They asked basically the same exact four questions.
One 30 minute job fit interview with the hiring manager.
One 30 minute job fit interview with one of their executive assistants.
One 45 minute behavioral interview (tell me a time when you had to... and the result). STAR method.
Try to schedule them back to back, so you remember your responses.
