Recruiter called with initial basic questions on Salary, Experience, Location constraints etc
Next step was the online test - anyone can answer/pass the two tests as long as you take it without any distractions and full focus
After the test was done the recruiter called again and setup a telephonic interview with the hiring manager
Basically he asked about my previous experience and explained the roles and responsibilities for this position
Nothing tricky in this interview - though he asked abt my expertise iin the technical areas he is interested in, he did not ask any specific technical questions or syntax
After couple of days the recruiter called again to setup an onsite interview. They professionally arranged all the travel plans smoothly
Attended the interview in Virginia office which was more like a University atmosphere. Very nice.
4 interviews one after the other by 4 individuals - 2 behavioural interviews and 2 job fit interviews
ALL the questions - behavioural and job fit - were to give examples from previous projects for different situations - (1) when your solution to a problem was different from what the majority of the team (2) when your approach was different from your manager (3) when you convinced your manager to change his approach (4) A complex problem you faced and your solution etc
I thought I did all the 4 interviews correctly, though I felt one old guy was not very happy :)
The recruiter called a couple of times later that week to ask clarifications based on my resume (one interviewer thought I was a consultant, but resume didn't clearly state that) which I explained and she replied positively
After a week, the recruiter called to say that the final decision is negative. She said the reason was that one of the interviewers thought I was 'disrespectful' during the interview process. Not sure that is the true reason or not. She said for a question that the particular interviewer asked, my answer was "I told you already, you want me to repeat?", which I don't believe I said (at least I didn't mean to say that)...
So this is my experience, thought I'd write the details in case someone wants to be more careful.. all the best.
