HR called first and asked all the standard questions, then asked about previous salary. There was a lot of pressure to divulge my salary info, but I responded by saying that I expected to be compensated with the market rate as applicable for my experience and skill set. After that, HR scheduled the phone interview.
The Phone interview was with two key personnel in the marketing department who wanted to know:
How do you keep track of multiple projects?
How do you deal with conflict?
Are you persistent?
How do you deal with people who won't help you?
The interview lasted for 45 minutes and they gave me a lot of time to answer questions.
In-person interview was on location where I was interviewed by a copy writer, HR and the Marketing director. Everyone asked the same questions and have me plenty of time to answer. The interview with the director was much shorter and I could tell that she was in a hurry to get to the next interview. I didn't feel like I connected with her.
Three weeks passed and I received an email explaining that another candidate had been chosen.
