I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2+ months. I interviewed at EY (London, England)
Interview
Awful experience, if this is how the team and recruitment process is for all EY positions I don’t know how they employ anyone.
I applied for the role through a friend who works for the firm, and had no contact from a recruiter or representative for 3 weeks.
A recruiter then contacted me on a Friday afternoon with an email saying “Congratulations you are through to the next round of the hiring process”.
I then had to complete a test project to show I could do the job.
I sent back the test project, and the recruiter didn’t acknowledge that she had received project.
The recruiter then asked me to come in to the office for a face to face interview the next day, disregarded my availability and told me I had to be there for 1pm.
When I said that I had to take a days leave to allow me to meet the team at such short notice, she said that is the only time the team could meet me.
I had the interview, went really well the team were nice and seemingly was an ok interview as I answered all questions etc.
As I left the hiring manager said that the outcome may take a few weeks as some people were off work the following week and they were really busy. (Fair enough).
I then didn’t hear anything for 5 weeks, I sent an email on the 4th week and the recruiter ignored my email.
I emailed again the week after, where she responded “sorry I was sick last week, let’s catch up today” we booked in a time to have a call, and she didn’t call me.
I then waited a week and emailed again the week after, she responded and set up another call, which she was 30mins late for, and told me I was unsuccessful for the role “but do please keep trying”.
The feedback I was given as to why I didn’t get the role was rubbish, like it was made up on the spot and it felt like they hadn’t even put effort as to a reason why they didn’t want me to work for them.
This is the second time I’ve applied for a role at EY and I will never again!!
Both times the recruitment process has taken weeks and weeks and it feels like you are wasting your time with the recruiters and team hiring.
It’s very disheartening and very disappointing that EY takes for granted talent applying for these type of roles.
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at EY (Bangalore Rural) in June 2024
Interview
havent connected yet they are not giving any calls for 3 months, and asking for just few questions I think they don't want any 2 tier college people , just drops there before showing my portfolio
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at EY (London, England) in Dec 2016
Interview
First, a telephone interview with HR. Second, a telephone interview with member of the creative team. Third, home based assessment of skills - design a small campaign based on a brief given to me by EY. Fourth, a telephone interview with head of creative services. Fifth, face to face interview with two members of the creative team and two members of the bids team.
The interview was delayed by 15 mins after I found I was sent to the wrong floor. Once in the interview, the panel were messing about with in-jokes. I found the bids team members particularly rude with irrelevant questions and sarcastic remarks. A deeply uncomfortable experience that I considered walking out of.
