I recently went through the interview process for a quant intern position. It started with an online assessment, which included coding challenges and math problems where I had to demonstrate my skills in algorithms, probability, and statistics. Then came the technical interviews, which were pretty demanding. I was asked some tough questions about mathematical concepts and algorithms, and had to solve complex problems in real-time, often using Python or C++. After the technical round, there were behavioral interviews where they asked about my past experiences, my approach to work, and how I handle problem-solving under pressure. It was also a chance to show that I had strong interpersonal skills and could fit into a team. Overall, I think I did well, even though some of the challenges were pretty stressful. But I prepared thoroughly, and I think my ability to think quickly under pressure really worked in my favor.
