I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at EY (Colombo, Western) in Aug 2024
Interview
I had a disappointing experience during my interview for a Java Developer position. The interviewers did not introduce themselves, which immediately made the process feel impersonal.
Additionally, they kept their cameras off, yet insisted that I turn mine on and even share my full screen, which felt invasive and unbalanced. It was evident that the interviewers had not reviewed my application or resume beforehand, as they seemed unaware of my skillset and the role I had applied for. This lack of preparation and respect from their side reflected poorly on the company’s professionalism.
Overall, the interview felt disorganized and disrespectful, which made me question whether this is the kind of work environment I would want to be a part of.
I applied online. I interviewed at EY (Hyderābād) in June 2026
Interview
Overall Good Interview, The interview will be medium , they asked most on java fundamental questions and mainly focused on the oops and collection framework in java and some basic java 8 question
It was a good experience! The interview process consisted of multiple rounds, including an initial HR screening, technical interview, and managerial discussion. The process also included discussion around project experience, communication skills, and role expectations.
Online assessment which is average competency which can be cracked with basic knowledge of coding and interaction skills where good and happy how it was communicated also the people who came was friendly
