I applied through university. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Fast Enterprises (Denver, CO) in Nov 2017
Interview
First interview was on campus where they administered a 30min logic test. The test wasn't bad at all (was kind of fun in a brainteaser type way) and included 2 coding problems.
For the next interview, I was flown out to Colorado to their headquarters. It was a really nice place and the process was very organized with some other candidates (that they mentioned were NOT my competition). The whole day of touring and getting to know some of the other people was a good experience.
However, when it was time for my actual interview, I was sat in a room with a white board with a potential manager. I was grilled on my school transcript - asked why I had a few 'C's in my classes and why they weren't 'A's... and some very harsh questions on how good my grades are in school. They are completely sold on you having above a 3.0 GPA. I then had to work out a few coding problems on the board and then had to do a few logic problems.
While most of the interview was alright, the thing that drew me away from the company was the people did not live up to my expectations. I am a high energy person that thrives on enthusiasm in the workplace. When I look at their website, their bios, and their overall company image, I could see myself working there. They picture the employees enjoying their job, all smiling, and their workplace very bright and bubbly. But when I met the employers, it was the opposite. Even the HR representative barely smiled. They all seemed completely solemn. Throughout the interview process, I realized this was not the company I thought they were.
It was a very quick process. I recieved a reply back within first two days of applying and scheduled a phone screening within a week from the email. Recuriter asked pretty average questions.
