I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at GE (Terre Haute, IN) in Apr 2014
Interview
I was briefly interviewed at a career fair. Then, I had a 30 minute interview with nothing technical; only behavioral questions. We discussed my prior experiences, what I learned from them, and why I though I was a good fit for GE. It was very laid back and a week after the interview I received a phone call offering the job.

I applied through university. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at GE (Tuscaloosa, AL) in Feb 2011
Interview
The interview occurred during a scheduled 30 minute window of my university's co-op interview day. Only one recruiter was present at the interview, but it was nice that the recruiter was an alumni. She was friendly and the interview was very casual and conversational. The entirety of the interview was behavioral questions. No technical questions were presented. We spoke for the entire duration of the scheduled time and I left feeling very confident.
