I applied in-person. I interviewed at Goldman Sachs (New York, NY) in June 2014
Interview
Really nice and easy. They just wanted to get to know me.They asked me a few sums but they were pretty easy. I had studied before I came in and they allow you to use a calculator. It was really nice to meet Mr. Goldman. He gave me a very fatherly smile and called me "old sport". I knew he would look after me, just like he looks after his clients. It didn't take long for them to let me know I was hired. I got a letter in the post within 2 days and a really nice signing bonus.
Several 1:1 meetings with senior people from the Division followed by meeting with more junior people. Some interviews with other areas of the firm - average interview process takes 3-4 months
It's a rigorous and grueling interview process that is an exercise in stamina. You generally interview with at least 20 people, sometimes more. And there are a few rounds of interviews.
