I applied for a job at H&M and was also contacted by a recruiter separately, which suggests a high volume of applications. I am thankful to have been reached out though. I had two meetings, one with a recruiter and another with engineering managers for a tech screen. Both meetings were pleasant and friendly with no unexpected questions. However, the role didn't align well with my recent experience, particularly for anyone with Agile experience. During these meetings, it became evident that H&M has undergone numerous reorganisations, and there seemed to be a disconnect between their advertised values and their actual practices. The role's expectations were unclear, and my inquiries resulted in vague, generic answers, indicating uncertainty within the organisation. In the end, I received the expected rejection.
