I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Hays in July 2022
Interview
It was a very nice process. I got an invitation through contacting a friend. The manager talked to me for about an hour and explained me what they were doing and if that would be something I'm interested in.
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Hays (Paris) in Mar 2023
Interview
A Hays recruiter contacted me out of the blue by telephone about an available position. He set up a videoconference in which I spoke about my experience and he presented the details of the position. I expressed my interest and he said he would start the recuitment process. I had to register on the Hays site and tediousuly fill in my details in addition to sending the recruiter my CV by email. A few days later I got a call from him in which he persuaded me to agree to the lower end of the range of my salary expectations. He then told me that I would be contacted by the company next week and that I should be available for interviews. And that's it. I never heard from him again. At the end of the week I sent a polite email asking if there is any update but received no reply. I also called him back and was told by the secretary that he is not available. So I was ghosted rudely by this recruiter. I consequently send a formal request to remove all my information from their platform following such rude and unprofessional behavior. The Hays site looks professional but it appears that they no expectations for the behavior of their recruiters.
