I have been working at Hays full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Hays has always supported my learning and development from day 1 whilst also giving me room to make my own decisions and mistakes. The business knows that everyone learns and is motivated differently, so the senior Managers and even the Directors consistently check up on you to see how you are progressing or if there is any further training that you require. They provide you with all the resources you need to do your job and do it well. The high targets show the high performing work culture that Hays develops and is always motivating and pushing you to achieving better than your best.

    Cons

I honestly cannot think of any Cons. I have been very happy with my employment at Hays.

I have been working at Hays full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Established brand, clear vision and mission, flexibility and support to progress your career to the next level. Hays provides a professional working environment and in Perth specifically, management do not manage via emails or numbers but more towards 1:1 interactions. There are professionals currently working flexible hours because of a young family, Senior Consultants being groomed for people management because this is the path they would like to explore and very good performers who would be happy just to focus on delivery. I appreciate the different paths available to fit different individuals.

    Cons

High turnover at junior level because of the large size. Recruitment is not for everyone and it does take a lot of the experienced consultants time to train and support less experienced members.

    Advice to Management

To allow Consultants, Senior Consultants and Team Managers/ Business Managers to be involved in the search and selection process. At this stage, most of the assessment centres is done through the Directors/ Senior Managers.

I have been working at Hays full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Hays has an extraordinary training program which lasts 9 months for Associates. Everyone is very supportive and always willing to help. The culture is also wonderful - very team driven and we celebrate every success together!

    Cons

Hays has so many offices around Australia and New Zealand - perhaps a way of linking offices or specialisms together through events or a digital platform. I can't think of much to improve!

    Advice to Management

    Keep up the great work!
