      Executive Assistant Interview

      4 Aug 2016
      Anonymous interview candidate
      McLean, VA
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Hilton (McLean, VA) in Dec 2015

      Interview

I had a phone interview with Mandy in HR from Corporate. It lacked robust questions. I also felt like she had two things going on at once and I was the least priority. So much so, that I paused and she kept saying, go on.. She also was too focused on on how much experience I had on planning international travel. It was like she could not get past that. I couldn't help but think how sad for the executive she is recruiting for as she didn't know the right questions to ask and had no knowledge of what a great seasoned EA can bring to the table.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

What is the percentage of international travel booking do you have. Seriously, she could not get past this. Let's say someone has 95%, but who's to say that was booked correctly? She should have LISTENED to my response which included me speaking to Visa's, shots, etc. But no, she kept saying in a dismissive tone, "Go on" and asking what my % was in booking travel

      Executive Assistant Interview

      22 Aug 2014
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Miami, FL
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Hilton (Miami, FL) in July 2014

      Interview

I applied through their website and was called a week later to meet with the HR manager. The interview lasted 15 minutes, and the second I left, I knew I did not want to work there. The HR manager did not tell me much about the position, she just reiterated that I would be answering e-mails and phone calls. She didn't even speak highly of the company. Even though I knew I didn't want to job, I still like to follow-up, out of courtesy. To my surprise, this company does not let their candidates know that they weren't chosen for a position or that it was filled.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

The HR manager kept asking me if I would be challenged with answering e-mails and taking phone calls.
