I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at HubSpot (Cambridge, MA)
Interview
I applied back in May 12th 2017 via employee referral for the Channel Consultant role in Cambridge.
I was contacted my Noah Gilman 4 days after with an invite to a webcam interview where I record myself answering 3 questions with 30 seconds to prepare for the question and 1 minute to answer. I believe this was the biggest challenge in the whole interview process because of the pressure of not making a mistake since there is only one try per question. Because of the pressure I lost my train of thought in one but quickly recovered, its ok to stumble a bit, they know you are not a machine. Make sure you use the software's practice questions before taking the real questions. I was then contacted by Kelsey Freedman (she is the best!) saying that they believe I was a better fit for the Customer Support role (Spanish speaking) and continued the application process with her. She arranged a call to talk a little bit more about the role and asking a few questions on my background and my interest in Hubspot and the culture. Then I was given access to the hubspot software with 3 tasks to complete and 2 video interviews following on these tasks including a role play and behavioral questions the following week. Then I was contacted by Kelsey once again that I was moving on to the next round which was 3 interviews back to back with 2 managers and someone who has been in the role for 3 years. All of them really nice and down to earth people. I would also like to mention that they are very flexible with time slots, as I had to reschedule the in person interviews. They were all very accomodating (shoutout to Allie!) this is them preaching their culture and really is what makes them stand out! Then I got a call back from Kelsey that they wanted to make me a Spanish Quiz, it took them a few days to figure out the logistics for it, but it was a 30 min phone interview with a specialist from the LATAM department (the one I will be working in). The following day, I got an offer which I gladly accepted, I can't wait to start next monday which also happens to be my bday (Kelsey even offered to have something special for the occasion!) If I where to this again, I would 100 times, the whole process have been an amazing experience because everyone goes above and beyond to make you feel comfortable and walk with you along the whole process. I would recommend applying to everyone!

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at HubSpot (Dublin, Dublin) in July 2023
Interview
I was contacted on LinkedIn by a HubSpot employee, they introduced the job description and the salary. In my opinion, the hiring process is too long, you have to "pass" 3 stages. Then I booked a 30-minute call with the recruiter, she was very nice on the phone, she made me feel like I was talking to a friend. I passed to the next stage, which was role play with a TL, it was fun, but I didn't pass apparently because I wasn't feeling comfortable with ambiguity.

Clear communication from the hirer on what the job entails and how the interview is conducted. Got to the 3rd round where I had to simulate assisting a customer with their issues.
