I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at HubSpot (Cambridge, MA) in June 2019
Interview
First Round- Phone screening with a recruiter
Second Round- Phone interview with a sales manager
Third Round- Sales qualification call with a sales manager
Fourth Round- 2 hour interview 1 on 1 with 4 different managers (30 mins each)
Overall, went through this entire process only for the recruiter to come back to say that the team didn't feel I was a good fit for the mid market role but would like to extend the opportunity for me to interview for the small business account executive role (only if that team is open to interviewing me). To have to go through this entire process all over again for a similar role is very inconsiderate on the organization's part. Not taking into account the amount of time spent prepping for this interview. Based on my experience, I am definitely a good fit for the mid market role and would be open to the small business role. I just think it's degrading to put someone in a position to have to go through the entire process all over again. There should be some way to shorten some steps. I was made aware that 2 of the three managers I interviewed with during the final round loved me. So this leads me to believe that one of the four managers didn't give such positive feedback.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
During the third round interview they'll have you do a mock sales qualification call. They want to see how you include the GPCT/B&A/C&I into the call and how well you dig deep into probing questions. Lastly, make sure to close the person you speak with. "Is there anything that makes you feel I'm not a good candidate for the role?" or something similar. Also, make sure to end the mock sales call with scheduling a demo and setting a specific date/time
The interview process was intensive, but your Recruiter will give you all the info along the way. First a recruiter calls, then a role-play & segment manager call, followed and 1.5 hour call with two different leaders on the team

Interview
