I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at HubSpot (Berlin) in Nov 2021
Interview
moved fast, but the conversations are set up as 30 min and the conversation felt rushed; the interviewers had to ask all the questions which made it less of a conversation
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at HubSpot (Dublin, Dublin)
Interview
Recruiter based in NY - she couldn't figure out how to call me - so i had to call her on her landline - no offer to do a zoom. Over-energetic, talking super fast - annoying as she didn't seem to take me as a person into account (introvert, thinker)
3 people interviewed - all not even half the experience I had which made me doubt the level of sr for the position. Each had an area to probe, but instead of it being a conversation they fired the questions at me, and got really annoyed when i thought about the question and drew from my experience. It felt like an interrogation not a conversation as the needed have all their questions answered - real poor interviewing skills.
the next the recruiter told me to ring her (still couldn't call me) and rejected me - so i even had to call her for my rejection call! Truly poor experience for a company that has HEART?
The process was pretty long, most interviewers seemed engaged but one in particular was very distracted. Interviewers felt a bit scripted and some even mentioned needing to get through their set of allotted questions. As a Recruiter I know that is essential, but by stating that it did take some of the conversational element out of the interview.

Question 1
Give me an example of how you have removed roadblocks for your team.
Hi there, thanks so much for taking the time to write a review. I'm sorry to hear that the interviews felt scripted - while it sounds like you can appreciate the importance of having a structured interview process where we focus on key skills and attributes, I would hope our team can do that without sacrificing the human element of the interview experience. It sounds like we missed the mark here, so I'm really grateful for your feedback so that our team can learn from it and keep getting better here. Thanks for taking the time to meet with our team, and best wishes in your job search. - Becky
