I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Infosys (Austin, TX) in May 2026
Interview
I had my resume passed to a technical campus recruiter through internal referral. Afterwards, there were 3 stages to the interview process. First was a 15 minute recruiter call, where you could ask questions about the role and the recruiter would ask about your areas of interest and experiences on your resume. Afterwards, there was a online, proctored technical assessment (2 hours, 3 problems), and then a 1 hour live technical interview with company engineers, who asked about specific projects on my resume, asked me to live code solutions to simple problems (mostly to demonstrate my understanding of basic data structures like dictionaries and arrays in Python, my language of choice), and asked some system design questions (how to scale a specific application that appeared on my resume, how I would design schemas to support heavier traffic, etc).

Interview
The interview was short, interviewer was uninterested but eloquent. Was trying to wrap the interview as soon as possible like he already decided i wasn't a worthy candidate. The questions asked were very basic and it could have gone better.
