I applied through university. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Infosys (Mumbai) in Aug 2012
Interview
2-section aptitude test with sectional cut-offs. Followed generally by interview, sometimes they may even add a technical test. Aptitude test is crucial and almost 90% of people who cleared these in our college also cleared interviews. One section deals with math and logic.Second deals with verbal reasoning and comprehension.
Interviews generally test relevance of knowledge to job and willingness to work away from home.

Interview
Following the assessment test, got shortlisted for the interview phase. The session itself was very smooth; the interviewer created a supportive and comfortable environment right from the beginning. The conversation centered around my project, where I had the opportunity to detail its technical aspects, architectural choices, and the underlying motivation for building it.
Multiple rounds including face to face and aptitude depending on the role type and resume and project related questions were asked with focus on technical concepts including data structures and algorithms
The recruitment process started with an online assessment that included aptitude, reasoning, verbal ability, and programming questions. Candidates who cleared the assessment were invited for a technical and HR interview. The interview lasted around 30 minutes and focused on Java fundamentals, projects mentioned in the resume, OOP concepts, certifications, and basic HR questions. The interviewers were friendly and gave sufficient time to answer.
