I interviewed at Infosys (July 2025) for a backend developer role and successfully cleared the technical rounds. The coordination was handled well by the recruiter, and the panel was professional during the interview.
However, after clearing the interview, I was informed that Infosys could offer a maximum of ₹15 LPA, even though I had already disclosed my current CTC of ₹17 LPA and expected compensation before accepting the interview invite. This mismatch felt disrespectful to my time and effort.
The disappointing part is that such basic alignment on budget wasn't confirmed in advance — leading to an unnecessary and avoidable experience for both parties.
Advice to Management:
Please ensure compensation expectations are aligned before conducting interviews. It reflects poorly on the candidate experience when such critical information is overlooked.
