Application
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 months. I interviewed at Intuit in Dec 2019
Interview
The hiring manager reached out after looking at my LinkedIn... we had a good chat and he said the recruiter will be in touch with next steps. 2 weeks went by but no one reached out so I pinged him... I was told that some internal issues caused the delay... another 2 weeks go by... this time I was told that my phone number is incorrect. This is after the hiring manager had already called me on my number and had a long discussion.... anyway, this time almost another month went by before i finally heard from the recruiter. Now everything was rushed. They wanted me onsite right away... onsite was around 3 hours... had a case study presentation... followed by 3 rounds of interviews... overall easy interview... the interviewers were unprepared... asked random questions...
Got the feeling that they already had someone else in mind and were using me to negotiate down the other candidate... there was again complete silence after the onsite... when i followed up after a week they said, oh, we decided to move ahead with someone else.
Very unprofessional conduct all through...
Recruiter round and then hiring manager round. Case study preparation and presentation, for a panel of team from all cross functional teams. Half day on panel interviews. Interview was thorough and professional.
Interview process was unparalleled. Recruiter was highly professional and responsive. Interview panel was extremely humble, respectful and helpful. Overall, felt very welcoming and definitely felt like a real humane place to work at.
Unfortunately for me, I tanked my presentation and interviews, so not expecting an offer. But there was a great deal to learn from the process.
I do highly recommend the company though.
