I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at J.P. Morgan in June 2011
Interview
Initially I was contacted by a recruiter from a state in which I had just graduated from and moved from. After informing them that I was no longer in that state I was forwarded to the recruiter for my appropriate state.
I went through a round of questions with the appropriate recruiter who informed me that I would have an appointment with the District Manager.
The time and date was given to me to meet with the DM.
I met with the DM in a local branch and was escorted to a private room where I was asked numerous questions about situations and hypothetical circumstances and how I would handle them.
After 10 minutes, I was thanked for my time, told that there were still a few other other applicants to be interviewed.
I was called and presented an offer within 48 hours.
First thing that anyone needs to know about the interview process is that you either have it or you don't, you can't lie your way through it. If you do, you will not make it. This position is all about people skills, if you have them you will do well. Use common sense. I would encourage everyone to dress appropriately for the interview (suit with tie, belt, dress shoes).
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at J.P. Morgan
Interview
Had to first complete online assessment then was called in for interview. First met with the branch manager and then with the district manager. Pretty easy questions. Super basic.
Apply online, pass the math and personality qualifiers, get a phone interview, interview with a manager and their manager, pass a drug, background, and financial check and put your fingerprints on file, get the job.
