It started with saying 4 rounds of interview would be there which eventually turned into 5 even when I was clearing each round very well.
They confirmed that you have completed all rounds and we'll roll out offer in next 1-2 weeks. After two weeks when I chased them back, then suddenly they said they have feedback. So, the team who took my interview rounds was the one who gave thumbs up. Then they were like the team said the candidate is good but not a single person out of 9 interviewers was able to show confidence. It was very surprising and disappointing to me because if candidate is clearing all rounds and respecting and performing good on all your benchmarks which are set by you and you are rolling out offer and then suddenly you are not confident.
Without working with candidate, you start judging the person. This came as a really disappointing and felt like it's internal team politics driven decision as HR is not a fault here because they make a decision based on their team inputs. And team knows that candidate is really good but may be better than them :) (Sorry but true reality, no interviewer will higher his super strong competition)
My profile was a 95% match with what tech stack they are using and was more than confident that I can do wonders on the project as my learning curve would be near to 0.
Again not trying to criticize anyone but this was sheer wastage of my time because in end I was not having some good feedback to learn from because there was none.
