The interview took several rounds of pure coding in Python. Cover some data structure design, easy to medium level leetcode problem, some language specific functionality for Python with implementation and execution.
Applied online and was contacted by HR a week later. First round was a 30-minute call about my background and basic probability/brain-teasers. Second round was a 60-minute technical interview on Zoom with a researcher: math, statistics, and some Python questions, plus discussing a personal project. Final step was a short take-home assignment to analyze time-series data and present my approach and results to the team.

Question 1
Given a backtest for a trading strategy with very strong performance, how would you check whether the strategy is overfitting and whether the results are likely to generalize out of sample?
It is a good experience to discuss with smart and professional people. The questions are fundamental rather than saying them difficult, and can get passed with proper preparation. Hope everyone enjoy the experience if a chance.
