I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Kaiser Permanente (Vallejo, CA) in Oct 2009
Interview
It is a 2 step process. Both steps include interview questions in front of a panel consisting of managers, RN's and Doctors. The questions are quite detailed and if you can't think quick on your feet than don't interview with Kaiser.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Kaiser uses Gene Watson as part of their nursing model. The question was something along the lines of Please describe a caring moment in your career? Isn't nursing all about caring?

Interview
HR called me after few days of submission that she’ll give my Resume to the Hiring Manager to setup an interview and then the next day they set me up for the interview. It was a panel interview, with the manager, charge nurse, ANMs and respiratory sup. They bombarded me of all their 20-30 questions, but still didn’t got the offer the next day.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Kaiser Permanente (Santa Clara, CA) in Nov 2017
Interview
There are three sets of panel interviews. First set is with the unit staff. Second set of interview is with the managers or your would be peers. Then finally, the last set, is with your director.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Kaiser Permanente (Oakland, CA) in Mar 2013
Interview
After credentials were confirmed candidates were asked to come in for panel interview. We were 3 all lined up for back to back sessions. Hiring unit manager was less of a participant than his 2 assistants who asked better interview questions. The lady interviewed ahead of me was obviously close to the hiring manager as I saw them having a friendly conversation over snacks at the cafeteria earlier. Results were given after a week.
