I applied through university. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at McKinsey & Company (Coimbatore)
Interview
Interview was a long and tedious process spanning an entire week. But what hit me the worst was the thinly veiled congratulatory message at the end of the interview which made me hopeful that I landed the job. They said they would let me know in few days. Most candidates were told the same except a handful who were hired on the spot (I've to assume these were done by the senior HR). After a long wait, no intimation was given to the rejected candidates. Only the ones selected were notified by mail and the placement officer after 2 weeks informed the selection was complete. Only then I got to know I was rejected. McKinsey is an amazing place to work at especially for a fresher but I'm sure they can improve their communication post the interview.
The selection process involved several rounds of interviews, each designed to assess different aspects of my skills, experience, and cultural fit, allowing for a comprehensive evaluation by various team members.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at McKinsey & Company (Chennai) in June 2024
Interview
The interview was chill. They asked me about my background, my gap, my interests, long-term, short-term goals and how that would align with the role and stuff. It was a very short call, barely was 5-6 minutes.
First round will be having a online assessment.(aptitude & general communication skills)
It was total 5 rounds to be attended in conseqtive days.(3 days max)
