I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at McKinsey & Company (London, England) in Apr 2025
Interview
I was presented with an assessment called 'Solve'. You can find guides on YouTube and various online platforms; it may be helpful to consider paid play throughs to familiarise yourself with the process. The company that developed the game is Imbellus; you might want to review their white paper, "Constructing Cognitive Profiles for Simulation-Based Hiring Assessments." They evaluate candidates based on their game performance and CV. I am uncertain about my own performance, as I was ultimately rejected. Had I advanced, I would have proceeded to the case study interviews.

I interviewed at McKinsey & Company (Ciudad de Mexico)
Interview
Interview process was really great, all interviewers were friendly and professional. Started with a phone screen, then two case interview rounds with a partner and a senior associate, followed by a final round covering fit and problem-solving skills
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Tell me about a time you had to influence someone without formal authority
It was a one-to-one interview with a consultant. It's a typical case study. The experience was traumatizing. I know my answers weren't great, the consultant was elegant and didn't bother to hide his boredom.
