I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at MuleSoft
Interview
Had a phone screen with hiring manager.
First off, he grilled me like I was being interrogated by the CIA. People have long days, okay, forgiven.
Next, I asked him about diversity & inclusion (hint if someone asks you this question, means it matters to them). He basically said the company & CEO didn't believe in all the hype around diversity - they just focus on hiring great people. Basically shrugged off my question like it was thoughtless and not top of mind for the company. I made my decision right there and then.
Hard pass.
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at MuleSoft (San Francisco, CA) in Sept 2015
Interview
Phone interview and didn't move forward from there. The department manager said she would review my answers with upper management and would let me know within the next week. Never heard anything after -- very unprofessional

Question 1
Why am I interested in this role, basic questions about why I want this or that
I'm very disappointed to hear about your experience as it doesn't appear to reflect at all the kind of candidate experience we aim to provide nor our stance on the importance of diversity. I'm really sorry we didn't do a better job giving you a sense of what it's like and what we value, but really appreciate your feedback!
