I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Oracle (Santa Clara, CA) in Oct 2022
Interview
Job located in Santa Clara, CA. Interview logistics took like 3 weeks. First time it was a call with the recruiter asking about experience related questions. It was then followed by a video interview directly with the manager. Manager interviewing me was rude and didn't even let me talk. Interviews are supposed to go both ways but kept on interrupting me, so it was waste of my time. This was the first time I wanted to just quit the interview half way.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Manager kept saying questions could be answered by a "5th grader". Very vague instructions on how to answer the questions. 1. Find a number missing from different numbers. Had to use multiplication and division. 2. Design a pulsing circuit using digital to double the frequency. 3. How many tries to find the heaviest weight on a scale (1) when there are 9 weights in total.
contacted by recruiter. set up multiple phone screens and you interview on site with those who are interested. While the phone interview questions are relevant to the position the onsite questions were meaningless. There were 0 technical questions, only puzzles. The whole process is extremely biased and the is definitely hiring favoritism as qualified candidates have not been hired while unqualified are hired (given they share a "similar" trait as the hiring manager).
I applied through college recruit team, they have a special e-mail address for college students to apply for their jobs, all you need to do is send an email and attach your resume. I think they will view your resume and find the suitable position for you if they are interested in you. The same day I sent the email, they sent me an email and they asked for my resume together with my unofficial transcripts. So, I send everything they asked for.
