    Pros

Private Health Insurance is an excellent benefit. They offer Bupa health insurance with 90% extras cover. Which is offered to all employees.

    Cons

Hard to get salary increase within the organisation. Oracle do not offer annual increases and often when moving positions the employees salary remains the same.

I worked at Oracle full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Bupa, solution portfolio, gym, parking, comms - hit your number double your base, training, supportive culture, training trips overseas, exposure to enterprise accounts, looks good on resume, plenty of pros.

Overall a good career move just be aware of transformational state of Oracle.

    Cons

    Ch ch ch changes!

Transforming from a perpetual license vendor into a nimble agile cloud vendor was never going to happen overnight.... Strategy, territory's and senior management seem to change direction like the wind.

Negative aspects are what you might expect from such a large, overly complex and bureaucratic organisation

    Advice to Management

Stability, make decisions at local level, correct retention issues, a lot of good sales people have moved on.

I worked at Oracle full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Wide application portfolio which can solve customer problems

    Cons

Negotiate hard on salary and the package, because once you're employed, it's not going to be changing. Even moving roles into a more senior position, Oracle will do everything to not pay fairly for the promotion, promising to review it in a year... problem is, the review never comes.
Although the base of the sales package is competitive, quotas are set such that the vast majority of sales people do not hit quota, and a significant portion won't even hit 50% of the quota.
Oracle is incredibly inflexible contractually, customers feel trapped and in this age of Cloud, Oracle still rewards its sales people for fixed term committed contracts over pay as you go. This is not customer centric, and customers do not like dealing with Oracle as they have been burned with onerous terms and aggressive sales people
There is very little delegated authority to local offices, it's extremely difficult to do anything agile or innovative when working with customers, even to do PoCs with customers require significant internal justifications and is painful for customers
A lot of backoffice functions have been insourced to lower cost countries, which has created poor and onerous processes for local teams and very poor experiences for Customers around creating contracts and responding to commercial queries
Teams are very siloed, with very little collaboration and often competition across silos when dealing with the same customer. Customers struggle to know who to talk to, and may deal with 10+ different product lines with no overall coordination

    Advice to Management

Incentive packages should be customer aligned, not Oracle aligned
Pay as you go is the norm, Oracle needs to change

    Pros

Salary and commissions, benefits great, gym etc...
    Great products!
    Working with switched on ppl!
Really picking up now with the Cloud
Very respectful and switched on MD

    Cons

Not many, very busy and never stops!
Lots of change, good and bad
    Process crazy!
New HR Director a little negative, no offence

    Advice to Management

More communication across the business and some more positive energy
Everyone is working hard, I believe every area whether it's sales, support, management, operations, recruitment, administration, consulting - don't put down people unless you have spent some months doing their job. Takes a whole team to succeed.
