Interview
Interview experience was overall positive in terms of the interview process itself. The interviewers were approachable and conversational, and the discussions felt more like real-world problem solving rather than strict LeetCode-style questioning. I particularly enjoyed the interaction.
The process began with an initial round with the team manager, followed by a technical round with a panel of senior team members. The next day, I received a call informing me that I had cleared the interviews and would hear about next steps soon.
However, after that point, communication dropped off completely. Despite follow-up emails, there was no response from the hiring manager for several months. This was disappointing, as even if a candidate is not being moved forward, a basic level of communication and closure would be expected. It left a negative impression and makes future interactions with this company feel less encouraging, especially in open-source or community contexts. While one experience does not define an entire organization, the hiring manager is often the first point of contact and can significantly shape a candidate’s perception of the company.
Afterwards, I also came across multiple posts on Reddit from others reporting similar experiences of being ghosted after passing interviews or even after initial rounds. I hope this improves in the future, especially for a company with many open-source projects where external engagement and transparent communication are publicly emphasized.

Interview
Processo lineare, uno screening al telefono, un colloquio con un HR, un colloquio con il CTO o un altro senior, colloquio con il product owner, ma poi mi hanno fermato lì
Initially had the recruiter screening, followed by 2 rounds. One with the Principal Engineer and the other with a Senior Manager. Both went well. Unfortunately, they moved with another candidate.

Interview
Applied on LinkedIn. Contacted by tech lead a few weeks later for an interview. Video call interview (with someone other than the tech lead who contacted me) scheduled to last 30 minutes, ended up lasting about 45 minutes because I was having a good conversation with the interviewer.
