      Application

I applied through university. The process took 4 months. I interviewed at Salesforce (San Francisco, CA) in Nov 2019

      Interview

Wonderful interview process. Everyone was very welcoming and kept things conversational. No one fired questions at me, and it was great since they let me set the direction for the rest of my interview. APMs are regarded very highly at Salesforce, and we were interviewed by VPs and SVPs at the company. Everyone was very casual and it was very conversational. Wouldn't necessarily say it was easy - they definitely asked very insightful questions and made sure you were thinking in the "pm" mindset, and only selected 3-4 candidates after 50 people in the final round interview. All candidates are put through 4-5 rounds of interviews, which include technical and analytical interviews. I will say, the final round interview process was quite intimidating - there were around 50-60 people and everyone there is super qualified and talented. I met students from ivy league schools across the world, but I came to realize the cohort size is 10-12 APMs depending on what execs decide, and most interns accept their return offers too, so they ended up choosing only 3-4 candidates at the very end (most of them are from top schools like Stanford, Berkeley, and MIT). But don't let that get to you - I only came to know this after the interview process! I got to meet other APMs and C-Suite execs during the process, which was very fun and I grew to love the company and culture. I talked to the APMs during the interview and it seems like everyone was having lots of fun at Salesforce and there is an executive committee dedicated to making sure the APM program is as great as it can be!

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Asked a scenario question about databases - kind of technical in nature. I can't remember everything they asked, but be sure to know yourself and your skills well. Entrepreneurial experiences are a plus! Also, you should definitely be very technically minded too, as they can figure out if you are / aren't based on the questions they asked.

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Salesforce (San Francisco, CA) in Sept 2025

      Interview

Screen Call - Asked Product Questions instead of just behaviourals. Would definently recommend going through some basic product design and strategy questions before taking that call. Wasn't too hard to ask "How would you improve Slack"

      Interview

Interview process was very smooth. This was for APM Intern. Phone screen, then 45 minute behavioral, then 2 45-minute back to back product design and analytics for final round. Cases were quick, specific to Salesforce.
