    Solution Engineers get acknowledged for being a crucial part of the closure of millions of dollars a year. Work life balance is really respectful for people with all personal lives.     Fast paced environment could take awhile to get used to, but SE Managers are great at swiftly shielding you from being burnt out.

    Advice to Management

    We are constantly motivated by the leadership in Solution Engineering, so keep up the good work. One suggestion would be to run SPIFFs for SEs to allow us to go above and beyond for a reward.

    Pros

    Some great people work here. It´s also great working with innovative technology that is constantly changing. With a bit of luck you can make some money on occasions. Very good benefits.

    Extremely unrealistic targets. High pressure on 30% YOY growth. 95% of AEs don´t hit monthly targets which creates a lot of low morale across the board. A lot of politics; you must shmooze the right Senior Managers to get anywhere. A lot of arrogance as well by certain Directors/RVPs who won´t give people who don´t play the game the time of day.     Advice to Management

    Listen to your staff, whatever their title. Don´t let favouritism creep in, reward people for work ethic, not because they take the right people out for coffee. Pay your staff better.

    Work with some great people. Good enablement.

    Cons

    Unachievable targets/quotas. About 95% of Account Executives miss their number every month. High turnover of sales staff. Salesforce really don’t care about their customers. It is all about 30% yoy growth.

    Advice to Management

    Listen to your reports. Create more pathways for people to progress their careers. Actually adhere to our value of ‘Customer Success’
