      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Difficult interview
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Salesforce in Dec 2023

      Interview

I had a great experience during the interview process. The recruiter was really communicative and scheduled interviews within 24 hours of me sharing my availability throughout the process. Each of my interviewers were prepared and asked great questions, but ensured I had time to ask any questions which they responded to with thoughtful answers. I had a total of 7 interviews (HR screen > hiring manager > 2 peer interviews > 1 cross functional marketing leader > 2 sales leader interviews) which resulted in an offer that I accepted.

      Interview

Interview has several stages with different stakeholders, strong focus on values in addition to role/task specific questions. Lots of situation-based questions, which need to be answered with STAR-method. Salesforce also provides a guide to prepare for the interview based on level.

      Interview

Interviewing for a Senior Marketing Manager role at Salesforce typically follows a structured process aimed at assessing both technical expertise and cultural fit. Here's a general outline: 1. Initial Screening (HR Call): The first step is usually a conversation with a recruiter or HR representative. This call focuses on your background, experience, and interest in the role. They may ask behavioral questions to understand how well you align with Salesforce’s values, including "Ohana," which emphasizes collaboration and trust. 2. Technical/Functional Interview: If the HR call goes well, you’ll have a second interview with the hiring manager or a senior team member. This round delves into your marketing experience, leadership skills, and understanding of digital marketing, product marketing, or demand generation. Expect to be asked about managing large campaigns, cross-functional collaboration, and how you’ve driven marketing performance in past roles. 3. Behavioral Interviews: Several rounds of interviews with other team members and stakeholders will follow. Salesforce places a strong emphasis on teamwork, so they’ll look for how you handle conflict, make decisions, and manage stakeholders. You’ll likely be asked situational questions, such as how you've navigated complex marketing challenges or worked in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. 4. Last, a Presentation or Case Study from a prompt shared from the hiring manager.
