I applied through university. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Schneider Electric (Calcutta) in Sept 2012
Interview
first round was an general discussion round followed by a written essay round which was a no-elimination round. thw written essay round then combined with the P.I round gave the final results.
The interview was well conducted and organized. There were 4 rounds. The written round was just aptitude, however, most might find themselves short of time. Then there is a psychometric test, which is basically a personality test to see whether you are fit for the company. It's not an elimination round, but your HR answers should tally with your results. Answer honestly. Then there was the technical round. They just want to know if you know your basics. Also, know details about your project and internship well. HR was basically to make sure whether you'd stay with the company for long or would pursue higher studies. Also, make sure you can convince them of whatever you are saying.
