I recently applied for a job for which I was well qualified. A little later I received an e-mail saying that I had passed the initial screen and HR would be back in touch for the next step. A few weeks later I received an e-mail from an HR rep who wanted to schedule a phone interview, but since I was about to go on vacation she asked me to contact her just as soon as I returned. I did as she asked but she wouldn't respond to my e-mails and phone calls. After 3 unsuccessful attempts I contacted another employee who contacted HR twice. Finally HR called me, did some checking, and said they felt my work experience didn't match what they wanted. This was very bizarre in my opinion, and highly unprofessional. Some people might even say unethical.They knew all along what my qualifications were and wasted my time expecting the 30 minute interview they had agreed to. I wrote to the head of HR about this strange behavior, asking if this sudden turnabout was due to my gender, race, or age. Naturally I received no reply. Any future job applicants to this company should be very careful and skeptical of what they tell you. Apparently their word and reputation don't mean much to them.

Simple interview process, one person interview panel. Interview asked me to walk through my resume and two additional questions only. Not much follow up or additional details requested, very underwhelming process.
HR interview, Direct line manager interview, BU head interview, Stakeholder interview, final round with HR. During the process candidate is very well informed the progress.
One can add one more interview by consulting agency involved at the beginning of the process.
