I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Southwest Airlines (Windsor Locks, CT) in Apr 2016
Interview
Applied online...didn't hear anything for about a month then one day received a call...set up a phone interview...really easy...basic questions like can you lift up to 75 lbs, why are you interested in the job, can you work in the extreme temps...then was called back and was set up with an actual p2p interview.
Overall a very simply process.
