I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Southwest Airlines (Dallas, TX) in Dec 2016
Interview
Applied online and didn't hear back for at least a month
Had multiple phone interviews with different recruiters and managers and felt like I had the same conversation with each of them
Came in for an in person interview (they will fly you in if you don't live in dallas already) and it was very conversational and casual
Got a call back a week later and accepted
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
What classes have you taken in college that best prepare you for this internship
It was a one way interview software was rlly buggy and syas you can redo the videos if you mess up but you cant :(. All behavioural basic like why southwest, why this position specifically, how does your experience, course work and involvemnet align with this position, a time you had conflict.
Lots of STAR style questions that pertain to past experiences. The interview was primarily conversation based, and not intimidating at all, would definitely recommend in any department, even if nervous.
It was quick and easy. This was the first round and more of a screening to make sure I met the same requirements that were mentioned on the application. They only asked 3 behavioral questions.
