I applied online. The process took 12 months. I interviewed at Southwest Airlines (Dallas, TX) in July 2019
Interview
I applied originally in February 2018. I finally got an email for phone interview in late May of 2019. After a phone interview (which went VERY well) the recruiter told me to expect a face-to-face interview. It took about 6 weeks to finally receive the face-to-face email with instructions. I had to email the recruiter a couple of times to give a gentle reminder that I was still waiting on the instructions.
They flew me in for a face-to-face interview and the instructions were very clear. There were only a total of three candidates there including myself. One candidate brought their mother! Southwest was more than accommodating allowing the mother to wait - but who does this!?
Our individual interviews were with a senior FA from OAK and a human resources styled recruiter person. I studied questions beforehand and I genuinely had great answers to their questions. They looked at me and smiled the whole time - just like flight attendants do (kinda fake). I could tell when I walked back with them that we simply had ZERO chemistry. NONE. I could tell they were uncomfortable and just wanted to get the interview over with. It didn't matter what my answers were - the two ladies just didn't vibe with me. It's a shame because I genuinely love taking care of guests and would have fit in very well at Southwest. There was no surprise when I received a denial email the week after the interview; but oh well, life goes on. If the door doesn't open, it's not your door.

The interview was on zoom in 2022. It was with a recruiter and flight attendant. They were very nice and made me feel so comfortable throughout the process. The whole interview took around 30 minutes.

Interview
So far, it has been moving at a great pace. I have only completed my on demand interview, and I am scheduled to attend my face to face in the near future! The online interview was great - be yourself, smile, and use the uninterrupted time to really express yourself! I'm very grateful for this opportunity and best of luck to all those applying!
