I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Starbucks in Sept 2025
Interview
Interview took place on the shop floor, and the manager was very friendly and chill. Asked generic interview questions, and made all of my answers customer service oriented. The manager (interviewer) asked questions from a sheet and also wrote them down there. She told me about the store location itself rather than just asking the interview questions and it being over, such as what the work environment was like. Finished with her asking my availability and whether I had any questions. The store was very busy at the time, yet it was still a relaxed interview and honestly the backgound noise helped. Was worried I wouldn't get the job because I've never had a job before and that would be my first one. I was initially rejected by email a few days later, however had a call a few days after that saying that that rejection email was a mistake and that she'd like to offer me the position.
Basically a short chat about my availability, my interest in the job, why I want to work there, how familiar I am with coffee and what my past experiences in hospitality were.
Easiest interview I've ever had. I was only asked 3 questions, 'tell me about yourself, what are your strengths & weaknesses, what is your availability?' Lasted about 10 minutes maximum
it was great. I answered every question thoughtfully and easily. You have to have two interviews, one with the manager and one with the district manager. It is a in person interview. They ask many questions and will either hire you on the spot or you will have to call to see if you get the position.
