I applied online. I interviewed at Starbucks (Saint Andrews, Scotland) in June 2017
Interview
Interview went very well, was asked to come in for a trial which was basically 4 hours of unpaid labour for me to clean up everyone else's mess. One of the managers was nasty to the full time employees and the other employees were talking about each other and the other manager behind her back. Not a nice atmosphere, and not a good trial.
Basically a short chat about my availability, my interest in the job, why I want to work there, how familiar I am with coffee and what my past experiences in hospitality were.
After applying online they invited me for an online interview that was a group interview then the next stage would have been a one to one digital interview over zoom.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
What's a difficult customer interaction you've had?
Easiest interview I've ever had. I was only asked 3 questions, 'tell me about yourself, what are your strengths & weaknesses, what is your availability?' Lasted about 10 minutes maximum
Thank you for taking the time to write your feedback. We appreciate your input and are happy to hear that you’ve enjoyed the interview process here at Starbucks.
