Interview
The interview process for a Sales Associate position at Stryker is typical; multi-stage and thorough, designed to assess both sales capability and fit.
It began with an online application, followed by an initial phone or video screening with a recruiter (30-60 minutes) to discuss your background, skills, and interest in the role. After, candidates advance to a hiring manager interview via Microsoft Teams, focusing on experience and role alignment.
The later stages included additional interviews, such as panel discussions with regional managers or team members, behavioral questions, sales scenario hypotheticals, or even a product presentation/case study. The process can involve 4-8 rounds total, emphasizing persistence, teamwork, and customer-focused mindset in the competitive medical device sales environment. Preparation for behavioral examples and company research is essential.

Question 1
How my previous experience has prepared me/makes me a good fit for this role.
There are five to six stages! First a recruiter, then hiring manager, then personality test, then your actual boss, then a group Interview. The entire process takes about 1.5 to 2 weeks. Some people have to do a case study as well.
I applied through other source. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Stryker
Interview
Very casual phone calls and coffee chats. The gallup is hard and questions can be ambiguous so talk to a rep beforehand and ask them about their experience and tips they have. For the most part it has been phone calls to understand who you are but make sure to sell yourself everytime.
The interview process has been great so far…my first one was a phone screening with their hiring manager. It was basic questions. Tell me about yourself. Why do you want to do medical sales who I’ve networked with etc. I then got moved on to an interview with their regional manager. The questions were tell me about yourself. What makes me different and then ended with behavioral questions that I focus using the star method to answer. I got moved onto the next round and now I’m waiting for an interview with the regional manager again, as well as other team members that I would be supporting. So far the interview process has been amazing and everyone I’ve met so far is great. I think as long as you have stories that you can tell about yourself as far as teamwork dealing with difficult situations from your past experience and how I think strategically is really important.
