The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Target (Camden, SC) in Mar 2007
Interview
Step One - phone interview. Questions are very general. The HR department asks broad open ended behavioral questions. If you do well on the initial interview you will be scheduled for an on-line skills assesment.
Step Two - On-line skills assessment. Test is designed to quantify your critical thinking and mathmatical skills. Some questions also designed to address your ability to work with others.
Step Three - Interview with another higher positioned HR representative.
Step Four - Tour of facility and workgoup.
**I noted later in the review that the interview was easy but I work in HR and have done so for years and have been fortunate enought to conduct literally thousands of interviews. I no longer get nervous and can usually predict most questions that I will be asked depending upon the position. The skills assessment was not easy and I felt like it was a good validated assessment.

Question 1
The questions all took place during a general discussion about my work history. I simply discussed what my job responsibilities were and through that discussion answered general questions.
I applied online. I interviewed at Target in Feb 2026
Interview
Interviewed 4 rounds, was transparent each time about being available to start asap, looking for immediate employment etc. At the end of the 4th interview, I was told there was no opening for the role I was applying for, but they were willing to hire someone for the bench, but "only if they were the right fit," but they also were not in any hurry. I asked why this wasn't disclosed earlier, and they did not have an answer. A week after my final interview, I received an automated rejection letter. I would have hoped after 4 rounds of interviews, that I could have received personalized feedback regarding the decision, but I was not given that courtesy.

Question 1
How do you lead a team who have different opinions than you?
I applied online. I interviewed at Target (Sioux City, IA) in Dec 2024
Interview
Applied online. I received an email to choose an interview time based on the recruiter’s availability. Interview was a phone call. I was a little surprised it wasn’t a video interview. Recruiter was professional. I declined to go to next steps after I heard the schedule expectation.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Target in July 2024
Interview
There was a minimum of 5 interviews which is way too much. You should know by a maximum of 3 interviews if the candidate is correct or not. I’d recommend revamping the process to allow for a better candidate experience.
