I interviewed at Tata Consultancy Services (Hyderābād)
Interview
it was a multi-round process. It started with an online coding assessment—two algorithmic problems focused on arrays and graphs. I solved both within time, optimizing for space and time complexity.
Next came the technical interview. The interviewer asked me to implement a trie data structure and discuss its use cases. We then dove into system design—I was asked to design a URL shortening service. I explained the architecture, database schema, hashing techniques, and scalability considerations.
The third round was behavioral. I was asked about a time I faced a technical challenge and how I resolved it. I shared my experience debugging a deployment issue in Visual Studio Code, emphasizing my problem-solving approach and teamwork.
Finally, the hiring manager discussed the team’s goals and asked how I stay updated with emerging technologies.
Overall, it was a rigorous but rewarding experience that tested both my coding skills and my ability to think holistically about software systems.
