I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at The Home Depot (Bridgeport, CT) in July 2018
Interview
Very Informative about expectations and training process as well as typical experience and how long average person took to get acclimated to the job. Sales Associates don't specialize initially in a single department unless they are specifically hired for a department
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Asked about how I would handle a specific difficult sales transaction.
I applied in-person. I interviewed at The Home Depot (Coquitlam, BC)
Interview
Very easy - basically questions are mostly on availability. They want to have enough people, especially on weekends. Important to show experience in customer service. Also cashier experience is a plus.
They call you and do a phone interview and then they get in the interview and ask you basic question about the position at hand. Like able to lift, read, explain, solve their issue on any DIY projects they're doing
Interview process was okay. From the beginning I was made feel comfortable and felt respected throughout the entire process from the beginning to the end. Got a good idea of what it would be like to work here
