I applied in-person. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at The Home Depot (Livermore, CA) in May 2019
Interview
Easy but very concerning. They give me a verbal offer. They wanted to know when I was going to tell my other employer and turn in my resignation letter; however, they never gave me time to sign the hiring paperwork after they took all my personal information and drug test. Very concerning.
I had other interviews where I was supposed to be interviewing for one position, but they lied to me. They interviewed me for other positions. Little do they know that they have people talking bad about their company. They are very deceptive.
I am going to try to get my legal information back.
Interview process ...
I have been trying to apply for a month or two to become a Designer at Home Depot for the San Francisco Bay Area in Northern California. I have originally applied online for the Pleasanton store. They interviewed me for a sales non-Design position. Then, I called Corporate in Atlanta, Georgia to report that, and how I was still interested in applying for another Design position within the Bay Area. So, the associate took my application to the Hayward office where there was another Design position. So, they interviewed me again at Hayward for yet another position that was a non-Design position. A couple of weeks later, Pleasanton store called me up for a job interview for another non-Design position which I once again did not apply for. Then after that, I found another position that was a Design position to apply for in Livermore. That one was for an Design position which I took the drug and background test for and passed. This was mid-May. I have been trying to follow up with them to see when do I sign the hiring paperwork, since I had accepted the verbal offer. They answered all my questions to my satisfaction. When I called the store I learned that one of the people who interviewed and offered the job to me was no longer works at that location anymore. I reached out to corporate many times to see what is going on, but they always directed me to the Livermore store. Please help me if possible.
The Interview was over video call and the interview was based on analytical questions. It is also based on instances provided by the interviewer and we need to answer what we would do in that situation.

Initial process was open with meeting staff as a possible referral.
The department position best fit was not addressed. It was not an in store position. The process was long after receiving the offer when additional information was asked for.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at The Home Depot (Denver, CO) in July 2020
Interview
Easy. In person. More like a conversation. Very comfortable environment and laid back situation. Interviewer made me feel at ease and didn't pressure me too much. One of the better interview experiences I've had.
